About the Servo Erector Set
Think of the Lynxmotion series of servo brackets as an Erector Set for servos. These components are extremely versatile, making virtually any mechanical arrangement possible. It's now possible to build custom robots to your specifications! The brackets are available in black anodized aluminum. The ball bearings provide for precise low friction movement. The tubing, hubs and hub connectors are precision fit and really expand what is possible to build. They are made in the USA from high quality aluminum alloy. We also have a series of laser cut Lexan chassis, torso, and electronics carriers that truly complete the set.

How Does it Work?
You can build an entire assembly using just the bracket components, then populate the assembly with servos using only two screws for the servo horn, and four push in rivet fasteners to secure the servo body. This makes it surprisingly quick and easy to design and build rugged assemblies. If nylon fasteners cannot withstand the loads, 3mm hardware (now included with most of the brackets) is substituted. Replacing or swapping a servo is effortless, as the assembly doesn't need to be taken apart.

Control
The new BotBoarduino is based on the Arduino Duemilanove microcontroller and allows you not only to control servos, but store and run programs independently of a computer. The BotBoarduino can be used in conjunction with the SSC-32 servo controller for robots requiring many servos. You can hook up the BotBoarduino to a PS2 controller for remote control of your robotic creation. The Bot Board is designed for the Basic Stamp and Basic Micro microcontrollers and is great if you already know some Basic programming.

We offer a range of software for the erector set. For example, the Lynxmotion Visual Sequencer (SEQ-01) is a Windows program for controlling anything you build using up to 32 servos with the SSC-32. The main screen allows you to add servo control boxes and position them on a grid. This visual representation of the robot makes it easier to position the servos for each sequence. Lots of other features. The program will even generate Basic Atom and Basic Stamp 2 code as well.

Standard Hitec Servo Brackets
Our selection of standard brackets can use most standard size Hitec analog or digital servos. The HS-3xx, 4xx, 5xx, 6xx, 54xx, 56xx, and 59xx servos are verified to fit. Note that servos from other manufacturers are not guaranteed (nor likely) to work. With the new ultra powerful digital servos it is now possible to control larger, more complex assemblies than ever before. The HS-5685 digital servo is the most cost effective power house digital servo.

Large Hitec Servo Brackets
The large brackets line can use several Hitec large size normal or digital servos. The HS-755HB, HS-755MG, HS-5745MG, HS-805BB/MG servos are verified to fit. Note that servos from other manufacturers will likely not be compatible with these brackets.

Micro Hitec Servo Brackets
The micro brackets line can use several Hitec micro size servos. The HS-85BB and HS-85MG servos are verified to fit. Note that servos from other manufacturers will likely not be compatible with these brackets.
