FlowStone is a new Graphical Programming Language aimed at real-time Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Robotics and Embedded applications. FlowStone is a drag and drop environment where you combine high-level and low-level modules to build real time applications. The modules include things such as: simple Add, Multiply, Subtract, up to PID, FFT, IK, Networking etc. These are joined together by dragging wires between modules with various data types: Integers, Strings, Floats, Audio, Boolean, Graphics, Arrays etc.



Data Acquisition In order to get real-time signals in and out of FlowStone we have included a comprehensive range of highlevel DAQ modules:

• Lynxmotion: FlowStone is compatible with the Lynxmotion range of robotics products and controllers. Using FlowStone you can control the Lynxmotion Robot Arms with IK, the Bipeds, Hexapods, and Humanoid Robots!
  
• Phidgets: FlowStone supports the entire range of Phidgets DAQ interfaces! There are too many to list but here are a few examples, Digital I/O, Analogue I/O, Accelerometers, Relays, Temperature Sensors, Current Sensors, Motor Control, Servo Control, LCD Displays, LEDs, RFID etc. etc. The entire range can be seen at: www.phidgets.com
• COM Ports: There are literally hundreds of COM Port DAQ devices available that are compatible with FlowStone, from simple DAQ boards, to laser range finders, servo controllers, PLCs, LCD Displays, Relays etc.
• Wii Remote (Wiimote): FlowStone supports the full Wii Remote controller and Nunchuk which is a great tool for controlling robotics or doing infra-red motion detection.
• Networking: FlowStone has both TCP and UDP modules to communicate with network devices or send and receive network data. Control your FlowStone applications over the web! Ideal for Home-Automation or remote monitoring!
• Video: FlowStone also handles streaming video and digital video effects (DVE) and motion detection. Embedded Systems: FlowStone is idea for making applications for PC embedded systems. Home Automation, Test and Measurement, Digital Signal Processing, and of course Robotics and Machine Control.
• Audio: FlowStone can process real-time audio and perform advanced signal processing, voice recognition, data acquisition, FFTs, audio recording and playback, music synthesis etc.

Deployment
FlowStone applications can be compiled down to a single standalone EXE file. This can be run on a PC, Laptop, Netbook, or Embedded PC system.
