About the Extreme Quadrapod 3 Walking Robot
The Extreme Quadrapod 3 offers the most sophisticated design available today. The three degree of freedom (DOF) leg design means this robot can walk side to side (crab walk), and it can keep the feet moving in a straight line when walking forward. The robot uses 12 Hitec HS-475 servos for the legs. Everything needed to assemble the basic robot chassis is included in the kit, however additional electronics are required to make the robot move. We have the required hardware, but do not yet have the programming completed.

The Mechanics
The robot is made from ultra-tough laser-cut Lexan structural components, black anodized aluminum servo brackets, and custom injection molded components. The robot includes 12 Hitec HS-475 servo motors. With the addition of a Pan and Tilt a Remote Piloted Quadrapod can be made.

Controlling the Robot
The robot can be controlled with a BASIC Atom 28, Bot Board, and SSC-32 servo controller. Our program, when complete, will allow RC using a wireless Madcatz PS2 controller, or autonomous operation using the IRPD sensor.

To keep costs down we are not providing printed Assembly Guides. They are provided online, so you will need to print them when you order the kits. By providing the Assembly Guides online we can provide more detailed and up to date information than the old hardcopy method allowed.
